A Little Chaos (2014)

  1. IF you have ever been to Versailles in France built starting by Louis the XIV and up through Louis XVI until he and Marie Antoinette were beheaded, it is an amazing thing. There is nothing quite like it even though in some ways it reminds me of the area Known as the Taj Mahal only without the Taj there in India. It is a place of palaces and elaborate gardens built for adult trysts with Courtiers. It's sort of something like an adult Disneyland for Aristocrats of Historical France before they were all Guillotined during the French Revolution in the late 1700s. I think even Walt Disney visited here during World War I when he was an Ambulance driver in the U.S. Army and this was one of many factors that had him build the very first Disneyland in Anaheim California from a large Orange Grove orchard at the time when the area was still mostly all farmland with fruit orchards then.

Versailles is still there and still a national treasure for the Country and thousands of Tourists like myself visit there every year. I was there with my wife and two youngest daughters in 2011 in the fall on a bus tour from Paris to Versailles for the day and back.  It was a pretty amazing experience but you have to be prepared for miles of walking as it is a very big place likely bigger than Disneyland.

We stayed at the Hotel de Suede which is a reasonable place to stay within walking distance of the Louvre and the Seine River in Paris. However, if you are going to stay in the historical district don't bring a car because you will have nowhere to park it. So, being on foot or taxis or the Paris Underground or buses is best if you stay in this area or even visit this area. The Eiffel tower is also somewhat in this same area best reached on a bus tour that you can find near the golden statue of Joan of Arc or

    1. Welcome to Jeanne-darc.info. This web project is specific related to Jeanne d'Arc, also known as Joan of Arc (1412-1431) A recognized Saint of the Roman Catholic Church.

At least this was the best place to make bus reservations in 2011 when we were there which is quite near also the Louvre there in the historical district of Paris.
