Note to self: Never challenge Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson to a fridge-carrying contest.
The 27-year-old, 6-foot-9 strongman appeared earlier this week on something called "The Guinness World Records Italian Show." As you might expect, it's a variety series featuring people attempting all kind of crazy stunts to set or break world records.
For this particular event, Björnsson (aka, The Mountain on HBO's "Game of Thrones") was competing against 2014's World's Strongest Man winner Zydrunas Savickas of Lithuania. The insane task? See who can break the 20-meter record for carrying two fridges. Altogether, the men would be lifting nearly 1000 pounds.
Judging by their faces alone, they appeared more than up to the challenge.

While Savickas completed the 20-meter task, it was Björnsson who ultimately ended up winning the prize, somehow moving both fridges the length of the course in less than 20 seconds.
In an interview from 2014, Björnsson revealed that he consumes 8,000 to 10,000 calories per day to fuel his training. "I eat a lot and often, mostly very healthy food," he told the Post. "My diet is rather high in carbohydrates, but I try staying away from junk-carbs and try eating more of sweet potatoes, brown rice and lots of healthier protein sources."
While carrying two fridges might seem extreme, it's not the heaviest item The Mountain has heaved. Just last year, Björnsson broke a 1,000-year-old strength record by carrying a 1,433-pound, 30-foot log for five steps. "NOTHING CAN STOP ME!! NOTHING CAN BREAK ME!!," he exclaimed on Facebook after achieving the feat.
We're just going to go ahead and agree with him. Check out the world record fridge-haul below:
