Raining Again in San Francisco area
This last group of storms is warmer and likely more of the Pineapple Express storms that usually originate around Hawaii. However, when you have warmer storms it is much less likely to come down as snow which might mean there is less chance for hikers or skiers or snowboarders to get into trouble. But, it also means that rain on top of snow might also melt snow and reduce the snow pack too which isn't good for having snow to turn into water in the summertime in the Sierras and Cascades Mountain ranges. It is raining right now where I live in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area in California.
