Sommer Motorradtechnik produces the Sommer Diesel 462. It is powered by Bavarian Hatz Diesel. The Sommer-diesel motorcycle is assembled by hand in small batches in Eppstein. Some components of the wheels and gears may be supplied by Royal Enfield of India.[1] The frame was built in Germany (since 2011) and has been improved from the old one.

I was interested in researching more about Diesel motorcycles after learning about the diesel KLR 650 that is modified in California for the Marines to run on JP8 which is a kerosene diesel jet fuel that all marine vehicles in Nato run on including marine jets.
So, in studying more about diesel motorcycles I was reading that some of them get mileage as high as 117 miles per Gallon. Many gasoline powered motorcycles for riding highways and freeways get mileage of 35 to 50 miles per gallon or more but 117 miles per gallon I found was really impressive because if you had a 5 gallon tank on your bike this means you could travel 585 miles before refilling your tank if you were just cruising on freeways and highways. So, for example, you might get from san Diego to Williams, California on Interstate 5 without refueling with that kind of mileage and a 5 gallon tank of diesel.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
