Her point of view is not as macro as the article I quoted. She basically said that countries will do whatever is in their best interests and the companies and businesses in those countries will do the same.
It's sort of like this. "When will people stop falling in love and marrying people in or from other countries?" The answer is this is just not going to happen likely ever.
But, the same is true of businesses within countries. Businesses are going to find ways to make money helping each other. This will likely always be this way.
So, yes, globalization as we presently know it likely is ending, but it likely is going to take a different form in the future than it is now.
Even when countries are sanctioned, if there is a real need for an item like oil that oil will be smuggled just like Iran smuggles oil now often too. The Sanctions against North Korea don't really work either. Business will continue whether it is over the table or under the table and black market.
Businesses of various countries will find ways to get together one way or another just like people who fall in love in various countries are going to find ways to be together. It's always been this way and always will be.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
