For me, I started by realizing each of us has an infinite amount of senses not just 5. So, just accepting that you have more senses than most people develop is a help in all this. Imagine if you tied your hands behind your backs and forgot they were there your whole life. This is what it is like when i'm around people who are very gifted but who didn't develop their gifts because someone told them they couldn't or they didn't have the gifts that they actually had.
So, mostly I feel sort of sorry for this type of person because often they die very young without their full senses to protect them from harm.
But, more than anything it is important to allow angels to guard and to protect you so you become a bastion or a doorway to heaven through which they can fly to help and heal and protect all God's Children spontaneously.
