This is a fairly common experience I hear. For example, when I believed I might be dying in 1998 and by May of 1999 I was diagnosed with a Heart virus. When I first thought I was dying and called my son to take me to the hospital in his car Angels appeared to me and said in unison to me: "You are not going to die! Your life will get better now!"
Though a human mind has trouble with all of this the cells of my body just accepted the angels and what they kept repeating which is why I'm still alive today all these years later.
So then, I went to the emergency room and told doctors and nurses about the angels talking to me and surrounding me (White Light Angels) and the doctors and nurses said, "Oh. We hear this all the time from people having near death experiences."
