Though it's 111 degrees Fahrenheit in Palm Springs it's a nice 70 degrees here in Santa Barbara on the coast

This is at 5 pm Friday night. There's a slight breeze and some of the fog is trying to come in for the evening which is always good for the plants because of the moisture in high or low fog. Rather than turn on the air conditioning today we opened the windows instead because it wasn't necessary to put on the air conditioning. Right now it's about 77 degrees indoors and 70 outdoors so why not just open the windows instead of turning on the Heat pump for air conditioning? So, I'm sitting looking at the view of Santa Barbara from our hillside perch that's been in our family now since maybe the 1970s here in Santa Barbara.

Oh it's also 119 degrees Fahrenheit in Death Valley right now at 5 pm Friday. It's way too early to be this hot even in Death Valley in a normal non drought year but this year we are in the worst drought in 1200 years  here in California from Global Warming and climate change.

This likely will severely affect food prices throughout the U.S. and the world and make all food grown much more expensive now too during the next few seasons until we get some more rain to California farmlands. Many farmers are only  getting 5% of their normal allotment of water this year here in California. You see, California has 4 growing seasons but likely not this year for most farms in the state.
