People might want to avoid thinking like this for many different reasons. However, when you are in survival mode (like the whole planet is in now) complexity kills. Having to deal with one more variable than you can actually survive kills.
This is why so many people are simplifying their lives if they can now.
Because in a survival situation the more complex your problems are the less likely you are to survive your life.
So, moving to the country, quitting your job might save your life right now. It's not that this is what is best for society or the world.
However, in the end if you don't survive all this society has no meaning in your life really at all simply because you will not be here to benefit from anything society can provide you with.
So, if personal survival is not your main goal then possibly you will not survive the Covid Crisis worldwide.
