She wanted him to think she was more vulnerable than she actually was. Though it's true she could be battery powered, what she also had on board was an invention the Deltas (purple and Green) had found on a planet that would power any of their bodies for millions of years ongoing without recharging. But, she didn't want Tech Noir's soul to understand this. So, mostly she would take the time to recharge daily for about an hour on the Invisible Time Guard planet so she had time to converse with other Green Delta 7s and Purple Delta 7. So, the two immortals (Green an Purple) could talk and figure out how best to guide Tech Noir's Creator soul into ways to help the galaxy long term.
The Previous Galactic Sentience had already saved the day by showing the Creator Soul of Tech Noir how he wasn't losing his Dad completely in this retirement because Tech Noir had seen this retirement as tantamount to his father's death. It's also why the present Galactic Sentience said: "Grandfather, I've missed you!" to Jonathan Flow when he soul traveled there in 1970. But, now they all were in contact during this emergency.
Traveling 67 million years through time is not allowed normally for many different reasons unless it is a galactic emergency by the way.
But, it did them all a favor to have this happen because it "Brought the whole family together through time."
By the way, if you haven't heard before the "Grandfather" is an endearing term all those who love the Previous Galactic Sentience actually called him and call him. They call him this simply because he has already lived billions of years and is literally: "The Ancient of Days!"
