City planners across the U.S. over 100 or more years ago decided to plant ONLY male trees nationwide in cities: why?

 Their reasoning at the time was to plant only one sex of tree so the trees couldn't reproduce. However, by planting ONLY male trees, it is the male trees that produce 100% of the pollen. So, by doing this ever since nationwide they created Allergy sufferers suffering and dying of Allergies.

Now, you might think someone would have realized this at the time but they didn't. So, now, only male trees are still planted by city planners. So, as you drive through cities all across the U.S. you are looking at 100 to 200 year old male trees.

However, if they had planted female trees instead there wouldn't be as much of an allergy problem in humans because female trees do not emit pollen at all, only male trees do.

So, there was sexism even in planting only male trees during the 1800s which is a strange thing to contemplate because this happened nationwide here in the U.S.

I wonder how many humans have died of their allergies here in the U.S. during the last 100 to 200 years since this City planning decision was made?
