IF you were wondering what a Camber Compensator for 1965 or earlier VW bugs was it was a bar you attached to both rear axles to prevent the VW Bug from turning over in too tight a turn. I had heard of other bug owners cornering too fast and their bugs turning over so I put a camber compensator on my 1965 bug when my parents bought it for college. And I got from Sears also one of the first steel belt radial tires that they made which made for even better cornering on cars back then and now. Two reasons cars crashed a lot before Radial tires was that tires would squirm more before they were steel belted radials like now and so this caused a lot of accidents also before radial tires were used. Another thing that saved thousands of lives was going from a shoe brake to a disc brake on a rotor. Before disc brakes were used in cars and trucks especially semi trucks killed a lot of drivers when the shoes over heated going downhill in overloaded trucks and the trucks couldn't be stopped and the drivers died a lot before disc brakes. But, this also happened a lot to regular people in cars and trucks then when they were towing large trailers down a long grade.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
