Trying to Run a Government like a Business will result directly in many many fatalities. Why?

 The last president to try to run the government like a business was Herbert Hoover. His actions directly resulted in the Great Depression which directly created Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Social Security and Unemployment compensation nationwide to help people survive between jobs and after they retire. Before then everyone pretty much worked until they died before then unless they were very very rich.

So, what is a Government? 

A Government is a Social Welfare Mechanism to keep their people alive and to protect their rights.

So, whether it is the police or the military or whether it is social services or building roads or other infrastructure, a government is predicated upon helping the people better survive and stay alive.

But, a business is based upon only ONE THING. Making Money!

So, when you apply business practices to a government then people are going to suffer and die en masse.

So, the most likely outcome here is that Trump and Musk will lead to a Great Depression just like Herbert Hoover to be replaced by someone like Franklin Delano Roosevelt who will help people not die as much as they did under Herbert Hoover from trying to run the nation like a business.

Let me give you an example if you are a patriarch or Matriarch of your extended family.

You might be wealthy or own a business or businesses and you are the last hope of your children, Grandchildren and elderly relatives and friends.

However, if you apply business standards to these children, Grandchildren or elderly relatives or friends then you will likely watch them die one by one or at the very least get really messed up by thinking like this.

NO! Business practices are for making money! But then, keeping the people alive around you is based upon individual needs or else they start to die or get messed up.

So, in all historical likelihood Musk and Trump will only cause another Great Depression because they are ONLY businessmen and don't understand what a government really is.

And beyond that the people will likely throw them off one way or another as their friends and relatives start dying faster and faster around the U.S. and the world.

Trump and Musk have very extreme positions which will never work in government because the nature of government is not a business but instead a way to protect and to serve the people just like the police and militaries are here to protect and to serve the people too.

What Musk and Trump plan will ONLY Create the next Great Depression where millions of Americans starve to death and die horribly and that's all.
