90 to 95 percent of colds are now covid which is why doctors test for covid if you have any cold symptoms now. So, if you don't want a 2 to 4 week Covid Cold or worse it might be a good idea to get the latest Covid Shot that came out this fall. My wife had the last one in June and when I got mine about three weeks ago she asked if she could get the new one that covers most new Covid mutations and the nurse said "Yes." So, getting your Covid Shot because 90% or more colds are now covid might be a good idea for staying out of the hospital if you are over 45 or 50 years of age. (This is the age when most people used to die of Covid (45 or more) but not usually now).
Something to think about.
So, if you get a runny nose or chest congestion it likely would be too late to get your covid booster at that point. So, if you have a really long lasting Cold with a runny nose and cough whether you get tested or not you likely have or had a Covid Cold.
