When you are ready to write something longer:

 It's a lot like getting ready for a longer relationship. You don't want to screw it up so you have to psychologically prepare for something like this.

It's sort of like having a child in some ways (from my own personal point of view). once what you write is born through your fingers (pen or pencil or typewriter or computer or however you want to do it.

And it's about having respect for what you have written sort of like you would respect the life of a child that you are having.

It often takes me a few weeks to a month to prepare properly for something like this. But, there are other times like when writing EMP that God just set me down Christmas Eve sometime in 2011 and told me to write this to prevent what I was writing about. So, everyone's process is slightly different.
