WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TUESDAY TO 4 PM PST WEDNESDAY
* WHAT...Snow, heavy at times, eventually changing to rain as snow
levels rise. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Central and Southeast Siskiyou County. This includes
Snowmans Summit on Highway 89 and sections of I-5 between Dunsmuir
and Weed, CA.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Snow will continue to bring additional road accumulation
until changeover to rain later this evening. The weight of snow on
tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power
outages. Reduced visibility and icy roads will make travel
treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very
difficult.
