He said that everyone he had met who had rosacea had to be careful because they all shared the same bacteria in their eyes. So, he said it was important to heat up eye coverings every few days to over 100 degrees because the heat would kill enough of this particular bacteria where it wouldn't damage your cornea over time. So, keeping your vision working better with rosacea it is important to do this every 3 or 4 days.
While I had Covid for several weeks because I'm 76 I forgot to do this and knew something was wrong with my eyes. But, it wasn't until I got over Covid Brain Fog when I realized I had forgotten to do this. As soon as I heated up my eyes enough so that I could kill 50% or more of this bacteria that people with Rosacea tend to have my eyes felt normal again and I could see better and my eyes felt right again.
So, if you have rosacea and are wondering why your eyes don't feel right often it is that this bacteria needs to be thinned out for better eyesight by heating up your eyeballs with your eyes closed for about 5 minutes to a high enough temperature where enough of these bacteria die about every 3 or 4 days.
He said that even though people without rosacea sometimes have these bacteria in their eyes that can pit your cornea and make your eyes feel weird that all the people he has tested who have Rosacea tend to have this bacteria in their eyes that can cause problems with your cornea and your vision.
However, don't make it so hot that you burn your eyelids and it hurts. You only want it warm enough to kill these bacteria so all you need is to take your eyelids over 100 degrees or so and they die.
I suppose you could take a washcloth that you put in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute that is wet (depending upon the microwave) because they all heat differently. But, be sure you don't burn your eyelids or eyes by making whatever you use too hot. IF you use a washcloth which I have used in hotels traveling that you wet the cloth first before you microwave it because it holds the heat better that way.
Just be careful not to burn your eyes or eyelids doing this if you have rosacea.
