It's Raining now here on the SF Coastal Area

I noticed our dog growling like she does whenever it rains and goes down the downspouts because she doesn't like the noise. This morning when I got up it was still raining lightly. I looked out the window around 9 am Sunday and it was raining much harder. The Cut up 100 foot tall pine tree rounds and other debris is getting wet and heavier to deal with but I think after the first of the year our landscapers will likely start carting away the pieces of the tree that fell into our yard before Christmas. I put temporary railing on my hot tub area after the tree destroyed the rails around my hot tub. This way when I get out of the hot tub it reduces the danger of myself or anyone else falling 5 feet off the deck into the yard. The rain this year has mostly been beneficial which is good. It's the waves mostly that have been killing people so far this year and that is mostly tourists who don't seem to recognize fully the dangers they are in in 25 foot plus wave conditions. So, at least 3 or 4 people have died in the Greater SF Bay area in the last month getting too close to waves.

I myself had a near brush with being swept out to sea even though I was climbing up off the beach when this happened when I realized where I had been sitting on the beach was hit with 3 feet of water which likely would have swept my dog and I out to sea.

So, after that I realized going down to ANY Beach really wasn't safe unless you were a qualified Surfer in a Wet Suit I decided just not to go down to ANY beach until the 25 foot plus waves settle down and go away to at least 5 to 10 foot waves which are more survivable.

So, the rain basically has been beneficial except when rivers and high tides and 25 foot waves all meet in the same place and then there is flooding lately.
