One way to reduce food costs would be government subsidization of all or specific food products

Especially with Tariffs on the horizon the only way I can see for Trump to reduce Food costs for everyone is to subsidize basic foods maybe like Eggs, Milk and Cheese. I suppose that things like Meats also could be subsidized too by the Federal Government.

If especially things like Eggs, Milk and Cheese and meats were subsidized they are all sources of protein that allow people to basically stay alive (if they are not vegan Vegetarians). So, in this way he might help keep people from going homeless by government subsidization of various kinds of protein sources that would keep people alive and less likely to go homeless and live on the streets or in a tent somewhere.

Why do people become homeless?

Of course there are many reasons but the most common among all demographics is that they can no longer feed themselves and pay rent to live somewhere.

When you have a choice of starving or paying rent of course paying rent has to go first so you can eat to stay alive.

So, as food costs go up and up and up people are having to move out of their homes and into their cars or tents if they don't have cars or trucks or vans or motorhomes to move into. Without food people are going to die. So, even if people have to work while living in a car or other vehicle or tent they are going to try to keep alive so they can eat food even when they have nowhere to live in any building anywhere.
