The Location of the auto Fire is in between Oxnard and Ventura: presently near midnight 5 acres

This is a new fire caused by the winds mostly at this point. There could be others. There was also a fire in Camp Pendleton near Oceanside and San Diego too. It looks like from a map I found that it is either side of a river where the brush has grown likely from water being in the river there. In California most rivers don't run year around except for a few like the Sacramento River and the Colorado River and a few more. So, mostly in southern California rivers mostly run either when it is raining or soon after. It's often like this in places like Hawaii too. But, this is especially true in California. However, watch out for "DRY" washes everywhere in California because if rain falls up river (even if there is no rain where you are coming down) you can be inundated by water if much falls up river (even if it is dry now). So, be careful if you aren't from California and see rain clouds anywhere because of this.

Just remember: "Dry river beds aren't always dry in California" so watch out for them. They can fill without warning suddenly and wash you away from rain far away that isn't falling on you.
