Drones have completely changed modern warfare from what it was

 It's also true that the Atom bomb changed everything and the Hydrogen bomb changed everything.

However, since using Atom Bombs or Hydrogen bombs results in the death of all life on earth we haven't used even Atom Bombs in warfare since 1945.

However, drones have been used in Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Russia to kill people and destroy buildings and cars and trucks and tanks and planes etc. etc. etc.

So, in this sense Drones have completely changed modern warfare too just like Atom bombs and Hydrogen bombs changed everything in the 1950s and 1960s starting with Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World war II.

Understanding all this is important to see where we are and where we are going as a human race on into the future of all kinds of technology including that which could be potentially fatal for all life on earth.
