The formulation of useful questions is how the human races survives the next 1 million years or more here on earth.
If we all don't formulate useful questions about our individual and group survival here on earth we go extinct.
Therefore learning to ask these useful questions and how to formulate them saves one of us and saves all of us.
For example, until I studied Philosophy at Palomar College in 1971 I really had no hope at all of surviving to age 25.
Why is this?
It's mostly about my loyalty to my parents for raising me. I tend to be a very loyal person to the people I care about.
However, this is both a good thing and a bad thing depending upon how other people approach me and what I do with this myself.
And what I was doing from age 21 to 25 just wasn't working for me at all.
What kept me alive during this time is not wanting my parents to experience my death and not wanting girlfriends I dated to deal with me dying either.
So, I kept alive for all of them so they wouldn't have to see me die.
So, in some ways loyalty to the people I love and loved is always why I have chosen to stay alive in life.
Living on for myself (at least from 21 to 25) made no sense to me at all for a variety of reasons.
So, without asking and formulating the useful questions for myself and all mankind I would have been gone.
However, going that close to the edge made me very emotionally strong, much stronger as a person than the majority of people I have met my whole life.
So, in some ways people I meet are often very brittle and could break at the least little thing that goes wrong in their lives.
This doesn't appear to be true of me because I come from a long line of people who came to the U.S. around 1725 from Switzerland and who have survived whatever happened here in the U.S. ever since.
The point is: "If you go to college the most important thing is NOT the trade you are learning there."
The most important things are the questions you formulate and learn to ask that will keep both you and mankind alive the next million years or so on planet Earth or on other planets too.
By God's Grace
Once you formulate the perfect questions be sure to write those questions down (Online)? so the other 8 billion of us can solve these questions and still be alive 1 million years from now.
