One of the ways to shut down permanently all Autonomous weapons is an Electromagnetic Pulse in a certain area that they are in

However, the drawback of Electromagnetic pulses is that everything electrical not specifically designed for Atomic weapons going off would also be fried in that area or city. So, no cars or refrigerators or radios or TVs or anything electrical in that area would ever work again and would have to be replaced.

But, it's the one thing that would fry the chips that run Autonomous weapons of all kinds (air, land, sea and space Autonomous weapons). So, in the air they just would crash anywhere they were when this electromagnetic pulse went off. It is somewhat unknown what different sizes of electromagnetic pulses might do to human beings however. But, most believe that humans could survive because electromagnetic pulses usually mostly interact with metal and lightning or something like it comes off any larger pieces of metal that would kill any human within 12 feet or so of it. But, if like you were in a car that's a faraday cage so you likely would survive as long as you didn't have your feet touching the ground outside of the car. The rubber tires and the faraday cage that a car or plane fuselage is naturally would tend to shield you from dying from anything metal in that electromagnetic pulse.

But, if a pulse was generated 100 miles up in the center of the U.S. it is believed that 70 to 100 million people would die from a 100 Megaton hydrogen bomb set off 100 miles up but then what would that do to the atmosphere we breathe too. somewhat unknown. However, the rest of the people far away from anything metal likely would survive this electromagnetic pulse here in the U.S. if this happened.

I wrote about this in 2011 in:

  • EMP: Electromagnetic Pulse: "God woke me up to write this for you Christmas Eve 2011" It seems to be important now as well
