By the way, Mary Burmeister from Japan was the daughter of Jiro Murai and they were both masters of this technique. Jiro Murai was dying and went to China for this teaching and brought it back to Japan after almost dying from his maladies that were completely cured by this teaching.
When I was 12 and passed out in the choir and was saved by my father I was sent to Mary Burmeister to clear up this nerve pinch that was making me pass out which was really dangerous to my ongoing survival then in 1960. So, she cleared the nerve pinch with these teachings and I saw blue and green colors as my nerve pinch opened up and everything went normal after that. It was the perfect healing for me. Not sure I would have survived this without her help. Mary Burmeister at this time in 1960 was living in Los Angeles with her husband who had been a U.S. soldier during world war II in Japan.
begin quote:
- Philosophy: Founded on the belief that energy flow harmony brings health, while blockages cause illness. It focuses on releasing these blockages to unlock the body's innate healing ability.
- Methodology:Practitioners use their hands as "jumper cables" to balance energy, involving gentle holding rather than massage, pressure, or rubbing.
- Self-Help: A core tenet is self-application, such as holding specific fingers to address emotional "attitudes" (e.g., thumb for worry, index finger for fear).
- History: Rediscovered in Japan in the early 1900s by Master Jiro Murai, with Mary Burmeister bringing it to the U.S. in the 1950s.
- Common Applications: Often used to reduce anxiety, manage cancer treatment side effects (like nausea), and promote deep relaxation.
- Finger Holding: A simple self-help method where each finger is held for a few minutes to address specific emotional states.
- 36 Breaths: A breathing technique designed to release tension by focusing on inhalation (energy moving up) and exhalation (energy moving down).
- Main Central Flow: A specific sequence of hand positions designed to restore harmony.
