It started snowing pretty good around "Dead Man's curve" near where there is a rock lookout road that goes down the hill to your right. the road was slippery because it hasn't been plowed at all but there was only about 1 to 3 inches of snow on the road so as long as I was careful I was okay. also, I have an All Wheel drive Car with Michelin mud snow all weather tires on it so they are good in almost all conditions. So, outside of going around the corners and my rear end of my car wanting to slide sideways a little all I did was slow down some until this stopped. By the time we reached Red Fir Flat where the Ascension Rock is to your left down a dirt road there it was all covered with snow this time so no one was going to down there yesterday or today or likely anytime soon. So, soon after this is lower Sand Flat Road which was also covered by snow too.
It was a winter wonderland which was the first I have seen of this since a little of it in Austria up in the Alps in October visiting my daughter and her family there.
I got our corgi dog out and she made friends with some people and walked up a snow covered trail with me some. It was literally a winter wonderland and lifted my spirits a lot to see this!
Here are some snow pictures from Bunny Flats over the years from Google Images!
