Is recording your thoughts verbally a writing and survival tool too?

Yes. recording your verbal thoughts can also help keep you and others alive when you go back and listen to what you said on those tapes or digital recordings. Whether you write all these things down for posterity or not you still are recording your thoughts that might help keep you and your families alive through anything that comes.

There are also apps that can convert your verbal meanderings into print as well especially if you don't write or type.

Luckily, I can type about as fast as I talk but then I took a 7th grade class in 1961 after 7th Grade in the summer and I could type by the end of this summer school Class at least 30 words per minute accurately or 60 to 70 words per minute with a lot of mistakes.

So, it was really wonderful when they developed text editors in computers so I could then write 70 words a minute and go back and easily correct whatever I had written.

So, learning to type can also help you survive your life better.

And surprisingly enough I started playing the piano withe lessons starting at age 8 so this helped because my fingers were already talented enough and strong enough to become a good typist by age 12.

So, I highly recommend taking a keyboarding class which is often what they call a typing class now that there are home computers with text editors.
