Actually I'm not sure exactly what to call the type of snow falling today.

It was NOT ice like but instead more like if 100 snowflakes made a little ball. So, it didn't hurt you when it landed on your hood or shoulder of your jacket. It was one step up from rain in some ways but soft so no real weight to it like Hail ice has. So, like I said if 100 snowflakes form a little sphere it's not ice but sort of like a miniature thousands and thousands of puff balls that don't hurt when they land on you like Hail can hurt you sometimes.

I've seen it before many times skiing in the past but I still likely don't have the correct name for it because it's not ice like Hail is where it can hurt you when it hits you (depending upon the size of the hail).

These little balls of puffy snow are very comforting somehow when they land on the ground and all around you. It's like the forest and trees and clouds saying: "Everything is okay!"

This was my experience today and my wife's too.
