I was in Austria last October visiting my oldest daughter and her husband and our grand daughter then. So, it's really hard to believe it was 102 to day there simply because in October it was often like Winter in California already! Most people do NOT have Air Conditioners there either. However, we are lucky the highest temperature here where I live on the coast of northern California would at most be 90 degrees and the way we deal with this is just to open our windows at night to let in the cool air of the night and closing the windows and shutters during the day when it gets this hot to keep the house cooler. So, far it hasn't even been 80 degrees Fahrenheit any day this summer yet this year because the hotter it gets inland the cooler it gets on the coast because it sucks the cool moist air off the ocean in the form of high or low fog during summers here.
Luckily they are up in the mountains swimming in mountain lakes and visiting family this week so hopefully they are all missing these 102 degree days in Vienna.
