Recreating America

Since world war II the U.S. has sort of led the
Way out of the chasm and the death morass of that
Era into the new world we now live in. However,in
The process many aspects of the U.S. Have grown obsolete
in Various ways. However, now we must change or
Just become Another relic of a bygone era.

What we just witnessed in the Debt Ceiling Debacle is all sides acting like spoiled children.
This actually was a very terrifying but also a very good thing for the citizens of the U.S. and the world to see. Because at the very least we can see what is real. We have become like spoiled children here in America that have grown so used to an relatively easy life as a nation that we don't want to grow up as a nation and have to make the really tough choices that our grandparents and great grandparents had to make during the Great Depression and World War II. Since the 1970s when the draft ended both men and women have become soft and have moved into what I would call "Fantasy thinking" which is not based upon "ANYthing" real. This is fostered by almost infinite TV programs and video games which infinitely stroke egos into more and more unrealistic ways of thinking.

The reality is that we cannot afford our present retirement system while still paying for a military of the size we now have. Do we cut off seniors from social security and retirement benefits and keep the military? Or do we elminate the military and take care of our seniors?

In the end to stay economically viable this nation will HAVE TO likely halve both our military spending and retirement and Medicare spending or go bankrupt as a nation!

I don't hear anyone talking like this much but this IS the REALITY of the present situation in AMERICA!

And unless both the left and the right get together and find a way to actually do this we are over as a nation and just expect us to be like Mexico, Egypt or even Syria within 20 to 30 years! That is a real choice looking at everything right now. Are you capable of making the hard choices?

But if both Republicans and Democrats just speak to their bases we will be bankrupt as a nation with no military or retirement available to anyone within about 10 years. Double A  credit won't be a problem if that happens. No credit or stability at all as a nation will be the problem then. Chaos will be the problem then if both Republicans and Democrats just keep speaking to their bases!
