Begin quote from above webpage:

"Unless you're Warren Buffett, your family is just one serious illness away from bankruptcy," Harvard's Dr. David Himmelstein, an advocate for a single-payer health insurance program for the United States, said in a statement. end quote

Recently I was speaking with a man who had lived in France for 12 years. He now owned a business here but was complaining at all the competition. I said to him, "Also, here there is no social welfare system either. So if you don't succeed in your business then you don't survive and are on the streets.

The fact that 60% of bankruptcy's are caused by medical bills in the U.S. demonstrates just how out of whack our system is.

A nations economic system should not be judged by how the richest fare but how the middle and lower classes fare. Otherwise that system can only be considered an international joke.
