Prophetess is a new character in the "Memories" series. If you have read the "Memories" series so far, Arcane is about 3000 years old and has been living on earth the last 1000 or so of his years since 1987. His 1000+ plus year marriage ended when his wife Celeste Weaver died by her own choice because she didn't want to live without her children who had all chosen to pass on by the year 3000 as well. They were all at least 850 to 900 years old at the time.
So when ARcane goes back to his home planet of New Deva he remeets his childhood friend, Prophetess, the younger sister(his own age) while growing up on New Deva before he became a "Dragon of Compassion"(an Order of Priest-Scientists who become soldiers during a serious war. They are pretty much unstoppable because of their consciously developed supernatural gifts). This is especially true of Arcane because he is in a class of his own called a world saver or planet saver. Someone like him is born about once in 10,000 years.
Prophetess is a conscious reincarnation of her sister. Since we know by now that reincarnation isn't necessarily sequential through time but beings incarnate as God and universe and the beings need if they are given permission to incarnate this way and if they are responsible enough in thought and deed as souls.
So when Ah Ray In also known as Arrayin was tortured to death on Isfahel during the war between the planets New Deva and Isfahel, Arcane took his and New Deva's revenge on Tech Noir the leader of Isfahel by permanently separating Tech Noir's soul from his body for the last time and giving the soul to Eridian Earth's Elder(much like ST. Peter at the Gates of Heaven)a Guardian Spirit of Earth in that time.
Eridian put Arrayin in a healing sphere on earth to prepare for her afterlife. Even though she decided to be born as Celeste Weaver on a non-religion planet next, she also returned as Prophetess her sister. No wonder the People of New Deva always considered the Soul of Arrayin a Saint since she was first born on New Deva. In fact their prayers to her after she was martyred by Tech Noir only made them pray to her more. These prayers drew her back retroactively to New Deva to be born as Prophetess.
Even though Prophetess was never considered like a Saint she was always considered a young and maturing New Devan Prophet so she was named Prophetess to denote someone they expected great things from in the future when she was an adult.
There is a saying, "If you love something release it and it may come back to you on its own." This is the New Devan way with holy people. They need absolute freedom to become all they are. They allowed PRophetess to marry Arcane at age 18 because of this. They all knew she would return with amazing visions, dreams, experiences and ideas to help and to save them all for this was and is the New Devan way.
