What is the relationship between belief and reality?

This is something that affects all people not just people who believe in God. Because what you believe does affect the outcome of every aspect of your lives.

People want to funnel this question as to being only about whether people believe in God or not. But, it is actually a much more profound question than that for everyone.

Because 'Whatever you believe completely affects every aspect of your life'.

So, maybe the most important thing to say here might be that, "Conditioning that you experience as a child if good might automatically give you a really great life." However, if that experience of conditioning is bad or neutral it then will have a bad or neutral effect on your life as well.

So, as an adult we can fix a lot of the problem conditionings we receive as children.

One of the ways to do this is to observe every experience in our lives to see if it agrees with our conditioning. If it doesn't agree then we need to adapt our beliefs to our present real life experiences to a greater or lesser degree if we want to physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually actually survive our lives.

This is only logical if we want to have a life that is worth living. So, just in regard to every aspect of our lives whether we believe in a higher power or not is also affected by whatever we believe through conditioning or through beliefs we have chosen to make along the way.

So, we actually have a lot of control of what we think, where we go and what we do all the time and can make our lives literally whatever we want them to be if we start right now.
