Snowden has helped more than hurt the world

I was listening to a lady reporter on the Situation room with Wolf Blitzer talk about Snowden and I realized he has helped the people of Earth far more than he has temporarily embarrassed the U.S. government.

The U.S. government was always adaptable unlike the Chinese or Russian Governments which tend to be monolithic in nature and always have been. So, though what Snowden has done might temporarily embarrass the U.S. the real damage of someone like Snowden is actually long term to all the secrecy methodologies within the Russian and Chinese Governments. For example, I was watching a CNN News man being roughed up by Chinese authorities even though what the newsman was doing was perfectly legal where he was and what he was doing there in China. I was thinking about all the millions of people around the world watching China not even following their own laws and how ridiculous it makes China look to not be following their own laws.

Likewise, often Russia isn't following it's own laws either. One can imagine secrecy at a wire tapping level is equally ridiculous to the point where people in the governments of both Russia and China would be scared ultimately of someone like Snowden changing everything with what he has been doing.

It's almost as if Snowden is a Trojan Horse in Russia because I could imagine the NSA or CIA saying to themselves, "This is such a stealth long term action that Russia and China would never recognize it for what it is!" It is sort of a Singularity action that someone who ran computer simulations would send someone like Snowden out from the U.S. government to do exactly what he is doing.

HE is like a 50 year into the future stealth action upon all governments making them more answerable to all the people of the world. And maybe that's a good thing for all mankind. Some governments won't be happy with the outcomes but I think the people of the Earth looking back will say that Snowden was a Godsend to the future of mankind.
