The latest NBC News and Wall Street Journal Poll August 5th through 10th, 2010:
U.S. citizens positive feelings towards Democrats: 33% Republicans 24%
U.S. citizens negative feelings towards Democrats 44% Republicans 46%
IF the average American citizen thinks that little of Both Republicans and Democrats then I believe we are due for a real third party. However, I don't think it is the tea party because it tends to be way too much to the right and there seems to be too many fringe people of all sorts in it.
A third party, in order to be successful must address the needs of the majority. Such a party would have to be in most ways a middle of the road party with something new that the Democrats and Republicans lack.
Can such a party arise? Only time will tell.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
