When I was trying to research the length of a Predator drone to see if it was around the same length as the 4 meter Iranian Karrar the above photo and short explanation came up at wired.com at the above internet address. It might just be photoshopped but if it isn't then it is quite a sight for a 135 mile per hour roboplane. Usually, you don't get this effect unless you are near the speed of sound like when fighter jets get a vapor cloud off of wing tips or surfaces in high speed turns at air shows.
