While I was in Southern California I went to see "The Guilt Trip" with my wife. We enjoyed it a lot because it is a sort of family Christmas kind of show about a Mom and her educated Scientist son. They both have something in common that they each didn't know about which causes the son to invite his mother on a traveling sales man trip he is planning to sell his product that he has developed as a scientist trained a UCLA. She lives in New Jersey, so he flies East and rents a car and she decides to go with him after he invites her. So, it is a mother-son kind of story that fits right in with families visiting and taking care of each other and getting to know each other better. So, even though this isn't happening around Christmas in the movie, it is still a very family (mother son) oriented movie. In this sense it is a beautiful movie because they both have something to offer each other which is respect and love and caring which everyone needs.
It stars Seth Rogan and Barbara Streisand.
