Compared to the Fiscal Cliff and the Debt Ceiling after that maybe the real joke on all of us will be the fiscal cliff(benefits and jobs might go away and taxes go up) and Debt Ceiling (will we lose more of our good credit rating again?
Hopefully, our President and Congress somehow will put what is good for the country above getting re-elected. I think if it was up to the President (if it was up only to him) he would use executive privilege and solve this problem for all of us if he were allowed to because this will be his last election that he just went through.
However, it doesn't sound like that is what is happening so hopefully someone can be very creative and useful in the way they figure a way through all this before it gets any worse.
Though Republicans want to wait so they can say they reduced taxes after January 1st. However, the problem with that is what if no one can put all the pieces back together again after we fall off the cliff. It isn't a very simple problem because of so many various components to how the government operates. Once you explode the government into all these pieces, how are you going to get that many people to agree on how to put humpty dumpty together again if they can't agree to something so simple now?
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
