Sexual Assault at military academies

I was just watching CNN report of 225 sexual assaults against women at the U.S. Naval Academy. Even though many people might be surprised at figures like this I think it is naive to think this way.
If you look at historic militaries back for thousands of years, sexual assault and rape have always been a "dirty little secret". When men (and women now) are forced (voluntarily these days) to emotionally slam themselves into "Basic Training" and what happens to a person to "deaden their senses" in regard to gentlemanly and ladylike behavior because they are being trained to calmly kill, it is an unfortunate truth, that while you are being trained to kill without a second thought of remorse during battle you are also simultaneously trained to "rape" without a second thought in life. You really can't condition one response without conditioning the other psychologically speaking.

So, on a base level it looks something like this. "I have been trained to kill" now I want you, so I will have you much like I have been trained to kill without remorse as a soldier." Now, to most people who have not been through the re-conditioning of morality that "Basic Training" brings this might seem as awful as men raping each other in prison. But, to be realistic in a psychological conditioning sense there is not much difference from men raping other men in prison to raping female soldiers in training or after after "Basic Training" of the senses to an altered state. Though men who after 4 years go back to civilian life can "revert" to Gentlemen and ladies of the "normal" world this might not be true for men who  are professional soldiers. Because it is a part of the "Unwritten" thousands of year old laws of what soldiers actually are. The dirty dark secret is that they have always been "killing and raping machines". But as a society we don't like to think this way. However, if you are going to ask people to kill "What do you really expect?" People are people in the end and when you damage Gentileness by "Basic Training" of the senses Gentility is lost somewhere in the middle. But we can't tell the women and children? This just creates a real paradox that won't make sense to anyone. So, training any soldiers to kill and then asking them not to "secretly" rape I think is just unrealistic for any humans unless they are programmed unfeeling robots with computer chips built in.

So, as long as you train any young men to kill, some of them are going to "secretly" rape too. So, as long as we as countries need men and women to learn to  kill, some of them are going to rape others "male and female" too. Thinking otherwise is just unrealistic.
