The Cool War

I'm hearing more this term being used. It isn't a nuclear confrontation that ended up in detente but even more sophisticated now. But still, "The Cool War" is taking place in Cyber Space worldwide and in messing with foreign governments much like the Cold War. We see it in Syria with weapons privately sent in to Syrian rebels from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the U.S., Great Britain, France and Sunni Countries throughout the Middle East. We see it on Assad's Side from Iran, from Russia with indirect political support from China. So, this is the "Proxy War" that Sunnis and Alawite Shias are dying in in increasing numbers every day that is the most significant Proxy war fought by the two sides.

So, it is also interesting for me to consider that the problems President Erdogan of Turkey is having right now and wondering just how much of this is from people hired by Russia and Iran to incite angry mobs and how much of it is genuine. The people in Turkey have a right to be angry about whatever is bothering them. But, as in the Cold War one of the tactics in "The Cool War" now worldwide is "Divide and Conquer".  So, hiring people to upset and incite the masses are just one tool in the Cold War (Now the Cool War) that is going on proxied by Syria at this point.

So, some may use (like Iran and Hezbollah) the smoke and awe of Syria to hide their real purpose, to destroy Israel and to bring down governments in Turkey, and any other Sunni Majority Government like in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt etc.

Because of Russia's and Iran's presence in the Syrian War expect borders and countries in the middle east to change the next 10 to 20 years there as governments likely fall from the pressure Russia and Iran are putting on the region. It would also not be surprising to see both Iran and Israel fall along with Syria along the way. Hopefully, Turkey can withstand what is happening to it right now. Like the U.N. says, this is the most serious situation the world has had to deal with since the end of the Cold War around 1990.
