U.N: Syria Worst World Crisis Since End of Cold War

For those of you born after 1980 since the 1990s most crises were kind of tame compared to what came before. You might think that 9-11 and the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan were a big deal and financially they almost ended our country as well as many countries in Europe. But it doesn't compare at all to the Viet Nam War 50,000 Americans dead 250,000 wounded and two million Vietnamese dead, or the Korean War about 34,000 battle deaths and China, North and South Korea suffered 640,000 deaths according to U.S. figures.

However, already in Syria in the last two years there have been a (Minimum of 80,000) deaths but likely a maximum of around 100,000 or more. And from living through the Viet Nam War of draftable age then with friends being drafted a lot then I can say that this conflict at present looks at least as bad as the Viet Nam War and the Afghanistan War when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan with tanks in the 1980s. In other words I don't see Russia or Iran or their Lebanese
Terrorist Army Hezbollah (which is larger than the whole Lebanese army) backing down at all.

The U.S. after having experienced the Korean War, the Viet Nam War and now being at war in Iraq and Afghanistan basically since 2001 or 2002 isn't that interested in watching more U.S. soldiers die at this point, especially with Russia taking a stand like this. (Remember Russia has almost as many nukes as we do still).

The other fact listed by NBC Nightly News tonight was that they now expect up to 10 million refugees leaving Syria by the end of this year now Hezbollah has entered into this fight against the Sunni Rebels. Since the Sunnis are the majority in Syria and always have been, Hezbollah is now driving the majority of Sunnis out of Syria which is why they now expect up to 10 million to leave by the end of this year.
