I am Grateful

First of all Gratitude is the motor of life. If you are genuinely grateful to life and God for all the blessings in your life then I have noticed you tend to get even more along the way.

So, I'm very grateful that the most pressing thing in my life is my health rather than money. I always found in my life money to have been much more of a struggle for me that health (from about age 15 to about age 50) when health became an issue again.

I look around me at all the people passing on younger than they should who are alone often or in unhappy relationships and I'm very grateful I learned enough over the years how to find and be with someone that I actually like as a person, that I can get along with pretty well and that I am actually happy to be around and with a level of positive finances that makes life much less stressful.

Looking back now my heart virus at age 50 that almost killed me was one of the best things in my life because it got me over middle aged crazy and worrying about dying. Because I experienced dying I tend to just be grateful for every moment or day I have left instead of worrying about how much time I have left with my friends and kids. Another thing that almost killed me was being ostracized from my childhood church. But, strangely enough in the long run this too was one of the best things that ever happened in my life. But, from ages 21 to 24 or so when I was sort of suicidal over this I wouldn't have told you that.

So, looking back now I've had a truly amazing life. I have traveled all over the world and intend to travel more, have wonderful children, (even my 18 year old is wonderful even though sometimes difficult because she is so determined sort of like me regarding whatever she believes in the moment).

So, I understand this because I was once like this too.

So, I'm grateful all my children are doing pretty well and have their careers in order or are going to college or both. So, thanks God for a really great life!
