If you live north of Big Sur to the Oregon Border anywhere along the Northern California coast being in the 80s is a very rare event and being in the 90s Fahrenheit just doesn't happen most summers or fall much at all(unless you are in Santa Cruz which tends to be a little warmer than most other places so a lot of surfers live in Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas since the 1930s.
At 8:39 pm it is presently 90 degrees in Morgan Hill which is pretty hot for this late at night there. It's supposed to be 104 there tomorrow.
Right now it is 87 degrees in Paso Robles far to the south inland but also will be 104 tomorrow.
Tomorrow it will be 106 in Redding and 109 Friday
92 right now in Los Angeles and 99 tomorrow.
It is presently at 8:51 pm 97 degrees in Las Vegas and will be 104 degrees the next 3 days there too.
I remember driving across the desert when I had my 2000 Lexus a few years ago at 111 degrees Fahrenheit with no gas stations for miles along the route and thinking "This wouldn't be a good time to break down because there likely isn't even cell reception where we presently are." Even though desert heat is dry heat and not humid heat you still don't want your car to break down in the middle of it, especially these days.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
