Lesbos Island

The word Lesbian originated in Lesbos Island in antiquity because according to legend (possibly historical to) there was a war and all the male soldiers of the Isle of Lesbos died in battle. So, there were no Warriors who were men to protect the women and children. So, the women banded together to raise their children and to survive until the children grew up and a new generation came of age.
