Nuke the Polar regions of Mars to make it quickly habitable?

Nuking the poles of Mars may or may not cause global warming to occur there to bring the temperatures (and wildlife) to move towards earth of the 20th century. The other things that could happen likely are: The planet could come apart from the nuclear shock waves and send asteroids to destroy earth and other planets, or the radiation could make life (as we have known it here) impossible ongoing for thousands of years. Or make life that arises there mutant and mutated because of the radiation. So, in the end the results are unknown. And just like on earth human beings didn't know what burning fossil fuels for thousands of years would do to earth either. So, the consequences of this action are unknown. And then there is the butterfly effect of changes too that one must consider. So, this might create a great place to live over the next 25 to 50 or 100 years or do something that ends life on earth. It could be any or none of these consequences.
