Israel is allied with Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Sunni Ruled nations of the middle east because Israel (like all of them) is afraid of Iran and wants Iran to cease to exist. So, the threat of Iran against Israel has become a "Call to arms" in joining with other Arab States that Iran wishes didn't exist like Saudi Arabia.
Understanding all this is important. However, to be realistic, if Iran was gone this deal likely wouldn't exist for Israel. It is a temporary alliance that can only really exist as long as Iran exists. Also, it is to Saudi Arabia and other ARab Sunni States advantage to be allied with Israel because Israel could actually Nuke a lot of Iran out of existence if it came to that and none of them could. So, this alliance based upon "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is a very tenuous one that only could exist until Iran is no more.
What is the likelihood of Iran ceasing to exist?
About the same likelihood of Israel ceasing to exist?
So, if one went the other likely would be gone within a few weeks time.
So, this "Balance of power is what presently is operating in the Middle East.
However, ISIS and Hezbollah and now Russia are unknowns in this present mess.
So, the world is very uneasy right now because of all three of them now in the Middle East.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
