My friend in Mt. Shasta called me today for the holidays and told me that Mt. Shasta Ski park opens tomorrow because one of his friends will be working there. Also, he said he skied from Bunny Flats up to Horse Camp already and that there is about 3 feet of snow at Bunny Flats at around 6950 feet there. Also, there is snow over the Highway 89 snowman summit and snow on the ground at the I-5 Black Butte Summit between Mt. Shasta and Weed but not snow in Dunsmuir. He also says that there is enough snow on the ground on his land where he could ski around his land which means under 1 foot in drifts likely. So, amazingly enough ski season has begun on Mt. Shasta.
However, for now there is only about 30 inches at the top of Douglas which is one of their black diamond runs at the Mt. Shasta Ski park. However, they are expecting more snow this weekend when the next storm hits. In fact in the SF Bay area where I live the rain is supposed to start on Saturday and last most of next week.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
