Heavy rain last night and this morning in Northern California

The rain has been incredibly heavy all night and this morning. It woke me up many times last night it got so loud on the skylight above my bed. Sometimes I thought it must be hail it was so loud which we often get in winters here, but it was just very heavy tropical like rain drops hitting the skylight. Yesterday, while walking my dogs water was still running down fire roads and trails and digging ruts into them. So, this heavy a rain likely is going to cause flooding some places here in Northern California on top of the completely saturated earth yesterday.
