Was this movie helpful to watch?I have many different feelings about this. The main one being that this depicts various kinds of mental illness (biological and psychological in nature) in a more realistic way that most movies do. So, what I'm saying is I have met many mentally ill people who function somewhat in society until something triggers them as an experience in their lives. My wife watched this movie with me regarding this where she was saying that Bi-Polar disorder is more likely to result in murder than Schizophrenia by the way because people tend to attack their hallucinations when the hallucinations overlap into real people.Another thing I was thinking about while I was watching this was that was the boy actor hallucinating the children or were they the ghosts of the actual children that had died. For example, if he were actually communicating with ghosts and therefore were a natural intuitive on top of being a child as a result of incest which can cause biological problems in some people's life then all this would make more sense in a real sense. However, if he were ONLY hallucinating and had no other way to deal with this but to think he was crazy and therefore dysfunctional then the end outcome of all this would make more sense.Either way, if you watch this don't watch it alone or it will subtlety creep you out too much. The acting is very high caliber in the movie because of all the very talented actors in this movie. This is not a movie for children to watch because it is very real and scary in a way some people who are dysfunctional like this actually are in real life. But once again you might not want to watch this alone because it is difficult because some people are like this here on earth. This isn't a fairy tale.
