Racism in the past might be defined by saying: "It is discrimination of a group of people because some of those people have harmed some of your people at some point in time in the past."
However, I think because of ISIS and religious war we need to define this because using the word racism doesn't work in a wartime environment like we have with ISIS because ISIS is not only racist against all people on earth who don't believe like them they also behead them.
So, in the context of war it is likely that racism needs to be redefined at this point in humanities evolution because everything is changing. It's just that saying someone is racist is usually saying that this person is blaming all of one ethnic group for the sins of a few of that ethnic group which isn't right.
So, in some ways Trump is doing the world a favor by acting like a child regarding this American born Judge with Hispanic heritage.
He is beginning to redefine racism for today. And whenever you have a more paranoid wartime environment the rules of what is real are going to change.
However, personally I think this is the wrong battle that Trump is waging against this Judge.
The right battle over definitions likely would be in how we deal with religious extremism and how we are going to define people who are going to cut off people's heads and rape them. Or rape them first and then cut off their heads and then sell their organs to the highest bidder and then buy grenade launchers and pay soldiers with the money from their organs they sell.
Practically speaking someone who does this is no longer human by western standards because they have chosen to be animals and no longer deserve the respect of civilized people anywhere. So, often they are just blown away from missiles out of the sky "Hellfire Missiles" shot from drones.
Where does the term racism belong in regard to not seeing someone as human anymore?
For example, is the U.S. ethnically cleansing people who behave like animals (or at least their leaders from the face of the earth)?
So, you begin to see my point. We need to redefine our terminology but not necessarily in relation to Hispanics we need to redefine our ethics and terminology in regard to people who rape, and enslave and then cut people's heads off with impunity within their group.
I don't think what Trump is doing is useful in relation to Hispanics because they are Christians and since I live in California they tend to have similar values to other Californians in the first place, so I don't really see Hispanics as any threat at all in California. However, Trump, coming from New York where people tend to be a little more racist between all ethnicities can express this racism as a New Yorker and more people there will understand this than say people here in California that would just think Trump is crazy or something.
But, either way, we need to redefine our terms for many things because the words we are using now just aren't communicating what needs to be communicated on the world stage now for everyone's mutual survival or the survival of civilization itself.
And of course one could also say that, "Actions speak louder than words" for all sides in all issues. So, this might be where we all need to start in dealing with all this.
