It's raining from Clear Lake to Santa Barbara lightly

and snowing in the Sierras. Where I'm sitting writing I'm looking out on our deck in the back yard through a window to see the rain come down lightly on the deck. Any rain at all is welcome because we haven't really had any rain since mid January to speak of so all rain right now is important for California at this point. I'm told they expect 18 inches of new powder snow in Mt. Shasta but my friends there are recovering from a really awful flu that I cannot afford to get. One person who had it we are concerned about because she seems to be relapsing again. My other friend said this was the first time he had trouble actually breathing at night and getting enough air while sick. So, I really don't want either the regular flu or the coronavirus because I'm 71 so I'm staying away from Shasta despite all the new snow coming down this weekend there.

I noticed on the video weather map that it is also snowing in Mt. Shasta right now. February was the least rain and snow in Mt. Shasta for the last 100 years by the way.
